Luxury hide-away in Dominica

Located on the north west coast of unspoilt Dominica on a clifftop above one of the island’s most  pristine beaches, Secret Bay is a boutique eco-luxury development of just four villas and bungalows. The secluded accommodations are nestled serenely within the lush rainforest canopy, surrounded by trees with the Cario River, the Caribbean sea, two swimming beaches and a sea cave below.

Offering exceptional comforts alongside its unrivalled natural setting, Secret Bay’s distinctive villas and bungalows were conceptualised by award-winning Latin American architect Fruto Vivas to minimize the  impact on the environment and bring the outdoors in. Eco-consciousness is imbued in all aspects of Secret Bay from material sourcing, building methods and water & energy efficiency, to an ongoing commitment to the protection of its beautiful environs.

At Secret Bay, personal yet inconspicuous service is a speciality where ‘the Villa is the Hotel’; accommodations are fully-equipped with modern facilities though friendly full-time staff are always nearby to accommodate any need; services include housekeeping, laundry, security and a concierge who can set up day excursions, help plan activities, organise massages and yoga classes, or even book a private one-man jazz concert.

Adventure equipment to explore the surroundings such as mountain bikes, kayaks, paddle boards and snorkelling gear is at hand and Secret Bay can also provide a car and driver for day excursions, car hire, a cooking service, personal chef and pre-stocking of guests’ fridges with a wide selection of local produce (every fruit tree native to Dominica either grows or is being planted on Secret Bay’s land and the fishing in the area is also superb).

The existing four villas and bungalows will continue to operate as an eco-luxury resort and – just announced in celebration of its first anniversary – Secret Bay will build an additional eight to ten villas and bungalows that will be available for whole or fractional ownership. The fractional product will consist of 1/12th shares (4 weeks each).
