Dri Dri: the best gelato and sorbets in London

They started quietly, but are now becoming one of the most famous gelato places in London. I first discovered a Dri Dri shop about a year ago when I was wondering through Chelsea. The shop looked like a place that could just as well have been on a beach and I considering my love for Italian life, I couldn’t resist to check it out. I tried several flavours (William and Kate – pear and dark chocolate, yum!) and there and then, I became a fan.

Dri Dri uses the original artisanal Italian way of gelato making called┬ámantecazione: the ingredients (fruits, nuts, cocoa and vanilla from trusted farmers and growers, organic milk and no artificial additives) are mixed and at the same time frozen, so that the air can be smoothly absorbed. Result is creamy gelato with wonderful flavours – and the great thing is: this gelato only has about 6% of fat (about 18% in regular ice cream). ┬áThe gelato comes in cups or in cones. Dri Dri also serves great Italian coffee, by the way.

Dri Dri gelato can be found in Chelsea, Notting Hill and St. Martins Lane Hotel (pop-up). The company has plans to open shops in other European cities in the near future.
