Kids and parents heaven: Purple Dragon London

When you live in London, it can be quite the challenge to find things to do with your kids when it’s raining once again, especially during mid-term. You can of course visit the many great museums (most of them have a play area for smaller kids and are free), but often you are not the only mum who came up with that brilliant idea. Result: you end up with a big bunch of screaming and running kids in a too small space.

The peaceful alternative isĀ Purple Dragon in Chelsea. This private member club offers the most amazing play area for kids with a music room, a cooking area, an immense play area complete with dolls houses and even a swimming pool. Parents, if they wish, can leave their kids in the hands of the attentive and professional staff to do some work on their laptop or have their nails done. Naturally, food and drinks (locally sourced and sustainable) are provided. The atmosphere is light and relaxed and ‘too crowded’ does not exist in this heavenly place.

Unfortunately, it is a members club. So unless you are willing to spend another school term fee on an indoor play area, find a friend who does and make sure you get invited!
