This winter Allmygoodness have discovered the goodness that Liverpool, one of the most well known cities in North West England, has to offer. Liverpool is famed for its bold fashion and particular tastes so Allmygoodness set out to see if their organic choices are as bold as their fashion choices.

waterlooLiverpool Organic Brewery Limited was established in September 2008. The objective was a simple one, to produce great tasting beers using the best ingredients. The brewery continues to make brilliant beers using the finest ingredients. The brewery only use certified organic malt and whole hop flowers so all brews begin with the finest ingredients. All their grain comes from the UK’s premier maltster, Warminster Maltings, the oldest and one of the few remaining floor maltings in the country. It is the same for hops.

The beer is available in a number of restaurants around Liverpool including 60 Hope Street and Deli Fonseca or you can buy from their online shop.

egg cafeAnother Allmygoodness favourite in Liverpool is The Egg Cafe, located in an unlikely location just off Bold Street; the cafe has some wonderful organic culinary delights. The Egg Cafe occupies the light and airy loft space of an old Victorian warehouse building, affording a panoramic view of the city centre. As well as being Liverpool’s premier vegetarian restaurant, The Egg is also an independent art gallery; Eggspace and a popular meeting place. The Egg Cafe offers excellent fresh soups, quiche and wonderful cakes and is well worth a try.

vintage liverpool2You can find some fantastic vintage shops in and around Liverpool. There are some places where those in the know can discover excellent vintage pieces. The first Thursday of every month a free vintage event is held in The Shipping Forecast. Night Owl Vintage Shoppers will love the chilled out atmosphere of The Shipping Forecast avoiding the busy hustle and bustle of the High Street. A selection of stalls with retro and vintage clothing for men and women are available. There are also brilliant accessories, jewellery and collectables. It is an excellent alternative to your usual vintage stall and a great excuse to continue shopping from 5pm onwards.

Liverpool may be famed for its football, fashion and buildings but it seems that if it is vintage, eco and organic that you are interested in, the scousers have it all.
