This week allmygoodness visited a spectacular vintage fair organised by ILOVEMARKETS.com.
The fair was hosted in the basement of Shoreditch town hall. A fantastic venue, which echoes that of a film set. There is a Victorian style arger rusted into the wall but surrounded by fantastic modern art and a wonderfully ornate fireplace which is seemingly untouched in contrast to the peeling plaster which surrounds it. The location makes for an excellent vintage fair setting as you tour each room of the building discovering what the market has to offer.

Vicky Tippell DESIGN (VTippell) on Twitterallmygoodness particularly loved the Wheels and Butterflies stall. The stall sells steampunk style jewellery; rings made from vintage typewriter keys and necklaces with clock clog pendants. The jewellery is beautiful and reasonably priced and can be found on folksy.com as well at other pop up markets.

mainAt this market there was something for all the family. GreenPomelo Real Nappies aim to promote and provide great value, great quality, green and ethical modern cloth nappies. The nappies are long lasting and great for the environment. Also, Su who started the business and runs the store can tell you everything you need to know about this fantastic eco product.

If you’re looking for something to brighten your wardrobe then Yallah is the stall for you, bringing you unique finds from their travels all over the globe. Yallah sell original, upcycled treasures. Nomad, Tibetan, Gypsy, one-off textiles, fabrics, embroidered tribal, up-cycled bags from Indian Hats, Charms, children’s clothes, dresses, home wares and more. The incredible display of colours can make for a perfect statement shirt or skirt. Their maternity wear was particularly adored by the broody yummy mummies enjoying the market.

I Love Markets (ilovemarkets) on Twitter-1As we wound our way through the basement of the town hall there was a new adventure at every turn. FullCityCycles offer vintage bicycles made from all the best parts of some old favourites. This means that you can combine ideas to discover and create your dream vintage bike.

Overall, the market was great fun. Although it was running just this week, the town hall regularly host vintage markets and these favourites can be found touring the best markets in London. Visit their websites or visit them in person; it is well worth the trip.
