beldi kitchenLadies, I have discovered a hidden gem in the interior decorating department: Beldi Rugs.

Beldi is Moroccan for natural, traditional, rural Рand that is what these rugs are all about. Hand-crafted  from the wool of a special breed of sheep in the Atlas Mountains, the rugs are hand-woven by local women, traditionally after they have had children. The women will spend months and months on each rug with patience and love, creating a truly unique piece. Most rugs from Beldi Rugs are vintage pieces dating back to 1940 Р1950.

Beldi Rugs was set up by British Emma Wilson and Tamsin Flower who both fell in love with the beauty of Morocco. Emma is well-known for her amazing restoring and decorating of Moroccan homes (they are for rent through Castles In The Sand!); Tamsin dressed many A-listers in the film industry and has a perfect eye for colour and design.

Have a look at the collection and get yourself a piece of authentic Morocco.
