The best training shoes

January; the sales are on and everyone is signing up to a gym. Start the new year fully equipped for your new exercise routine. Here are some of the best sports shoes on the market.

1. Nike Free 5.0+

These Nike trainers are my personal favourite. The flexible sole and lightweight material makes them perfect for sprinting.

2. Supernova Glide Boost Shoes

The adidas glider is great for running and cycling. The design is slick yet the sole is solid and can be used for various exercises.

3. Nike Flyknit

The distinctive fit of a sock and wrap-around flywire cables provide lockdown support, while the soft, responsive ride is provided by dynamic lunar cushioning.

4. Brooks Adrenaline GTS 10

The midsole, beneath the inside arch of the foot, is a firmer piece of foam known as a ‘post’. These shoes have longer, denser posting and a firmer heel counter (a cup in the shoe’s upper that surrounds the heel) – all of which help prevent the foot rolling, creating a sturdy run.

5. ASICS GT-2150

With these shoes, the post doesn’t compress as easily as the rest of the midsole, so it discourages the foot from rolling forwards and slows the movement down. These type of trainers are great for cross country running.

Go on then, put your best foot forward.
