Longing for Summer? allmygoodness are too. Unfortunately, cold and flu season is still upon us. I looked into organic remedies that really do help with sore throats and blocked noses.

Honey and Lemon

Honey and lemon drink is proven to help with sore throats. Use one lemon, one teaspoon of honey and the rest boiled water. The vitamins from the lemon are good for you, whilst the honey helps with the taste and also soothes the throat. Abel and Cole and Bee Mercy both have great ranges of organic honey

Water
Keep hydrated. You can lose water through your illness so make sure you drink plenty of water. You can alternate with boiled water and herbal teas.

Vitamin C
Whether it’s tablet form or eating more fruit, this can help build your strength and help you fight off illness.

Humidify
Breathing in vapours of hot water can help clear the airwaves. Pour some water into a bowl and breathe.

Curry
Curries can be good for you as a lot of the ingredients like ginger, garlic and chillies, are well known for their anti-viral and anti-bacterial properties. Rather than a greasy takeaway, try cooking curry from scratch with lentils, spinach, chopped tomatoes and rich spices.
