Isabell-de-HillerinRêve en vert, the high fashion, ethical online retail platform officially launches today. We’ve written about them in the past when they were slowly starting up, but as of today they are ready to claim their place in the world of high fashion.

Cora & Natasha_rêv en vertThe ethical fashion website is the brainchild of former Stella McCartney press officer, Cora Hilts, 26, and Natasha Tucker, a 28 year-old with a background in organic farming. The pair came together to bring a ‘fashion first’ ethical concept to the world of retail.

REVE-SS14-lookbook-1The result is rêve en vert (‘dream in green’), an online retail platform selling designers including Berlin’s Isabell de Hillerin and The Sway, with jewellery designer Pamela Love and London fashion week label Christopher Raeburn coming on board for autumn.

“We are part of an extremely consumptive generation, who love fashion but at the same time are becoming much more socially conscious and sustainably minded,” says Cora. “We saw a gap in the market as, there are few places a shopper with that mind set can actually go and find things to suit their taste”.

“Our aim is for rêve en vert to be that destination – a place to shop conscientiously without forsaking style for ethics,” adds Tash. “Traditionally, sustainability is not a concept considered to be ‘attractive’ and rêve en vert will strive change this”.

REVE-SS14-lookbook-4Rêve en vert has a free to all policy and offers a personal shopping experience where customers can visit the studio in Old Street and see the designs first hand. More than a shop, the rêve en vert studio is a place where visitors can feel at home and get a helping hand from an in-house style consultant. The studio also features exclusive pieces that won’t be available online.

REVE-SS14-lookbook-10The website currently sells sixteen brands (with plans to consistently expand) ranging in price from £50 to £450. Rêve en vert ships internationally using carbon neutral shipping and every designer adheres to one or more of the rêve en vert ‘pillars’ defined by Cora and Natasha: Local, Independent, Sustainable, Ethical.

We are very pleased with the arrival of this amazingly cool ethical fashion shop. Having met Cora and Natasha we are certain these ladies have what it takes to make
