Cooking for your loved one this Valentine’s Day could have a whole new meaning thanks to a very special charity cookbook. With never before written down family heirlooms, a muesli that will blow the socks off the one you love and a dahl that’s a hug in a mug, ’Made with Love’ is a book that your Valentine will cherish for ever.

Cookbook-cover-811x1024Why not treat your loved one to breakfast in bed with ‘Traditional Irish Boxty’ a recipe that has travelled through generations of one family and is still made to this day, cook up a romantic roast courtesy of Tom Kerridge or make some delicious chocolate brownies with your kids. Whoever you’re cooking for or with this Valentine’s Day make sure you’re cooking with love.

Inspired by friends and family from the small, rural community of Kirtlington in Oxfordshire and with several favourite recipes generously donated by some of the UK’s best-loved celebrity chefs including Raymond Blanc, Tom Kerridge, The Hairy Bikers and Gizzi Erskine, the ‘Made with Love’ cookbook is the third major fundraising campaign run by the charity Thinking of Oscar.

The charity was set up in memory of Oscar Noah Cole by his parents Hannah and David following his tragic death while being treated for a routine infection in June 2014: “In the weeks and months following Oscar’s death home cooked meals starting to arrive on our doorstep every few days. It was this support from friends, family and our community that inspired us to create a cookbook that was truly made with love.

The charity’s next aim is to raise £100,000 to fund a new paediatric procedures unit at Oxford’s John Radcliffe Children’s Hospital, where Oscar was cared for so well, to improve the experience of young children and their families while in hospital care. From this point onwards they will aim to support similar projects across the UK as well as help fund new innovation and advanced technology within Paediatrics.

Made With Love can be purchased through the Thinking of Oscar  with a recommended donation of £12.50 per book (including postage and packaging) or £7.50 for the digital version. All proceeds will go directly to Thinking of Oscar to help it further towards its £100,000 target.

In order to guarantee delivery before Valentines Day orders must be received by 10th February 2016.
